Laminated Timber
GLULAM Timber is usually supplied from Germany or Scandinavia where it utilises the natural strengths of local resourced Whitewood (Spruce). Other species can be used. Glulam is generally 3 layers of KD Timber glued with Fibres running parallel to each other along the axis.
CLT (Cross Laminated Timber) is a stronger more robust solution to Laminated timber with fibres placed at 90 Degrees to each other on each layer, making the product stronger.
Glued Laminated Timber with min 3 layers of graded Softwood, Spruce (or other), kiln dried timber to DIN1052:2004-08 or PREN14080 or Other as required.

Glulam is made up of usually Kin Dried to average 12% Softwood, usually Spruce, the timber sections of which is then glued together to produce a larger section with the wood fibre running parallel to each other to deliver a stronger beam to taking higher tension for larger spans to meet more commercial building requirements.
